About Us

Your home is your castle, and you want it to reflect on how you live. You want your breakfast nook to be sunny and your parlour to be clean and inviting. Not only that, you want things to match, or at least look like the rooms in your home are drawn together. If it doesn't, or perhaps you don't have enough money for a full renovation, it's simple to choose your weapons of destruction against boring and 'blah' in your home. Paint, carpet and some new window dressings can be a big thing and are relatively cheap to accrue and you can get enough to take over two or three rooms.

* It's best to start at the top and work your way down. The top of your home means the ceilings and walls. A new coat of paint to coordinate with the rest of the furniture or just to brighten things up is always a good idea. You want good quality interior paint, and make sure that you follow the directions on the can of paint so that you get a good coat or two on the walls without a hitch or a problem. Don't forget the skirting boards or the trimming either, you can spruce up a room all by itself just by touching up the paint on the skirting boards, although some sanding might be required if you intend to stain them or repaint the skirting boards.

* It's time to move onto the windows. Now, provided that you've painted the walls, you'll need some new style of window dressings to match what you've done. You can purchase flimsy blinds, but shutters are the real way to go. These are a step above blinds, because you have control with the slats to adjust the amount of light coming into the room, but they are in frames that are sturdy and can't be destroyed easily. Shutters come in as many colours and styles as blinds do, but are probably a better purchase because they last longer and can stand up to more damage. Shutters are a great addition to any home, and curtains by a mile because curtains don't add that trendy, chic appeal to the interior of your home like these can.

See? That wasn't so difficult now was it? These are cost efficient ways to brighten your home and an excellent way to draw attention to certain features of your home.
